It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Louie T. Majors on August 14, 2010. He was a beloved Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend to all those who knew him.
Louie was born on September 7, 1943 and in true Louie style, he was full throttle from day one.
Louie proudly joined the Marine Corp. at an early age and felt it a great honor to be able to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He always had great respect and held a special place in his heart for those who serve our country. In his honor, a memorial brick will carry on his pride at the Marine Corp .Heritage Foundation. Semper Fi!
Louie and Dave founded Kachina Boats in the early sixties. Louie's drive and determination turned a small jet boat business ran from Dave's garage into a multiple award-winning powerboat manufacturer. His amazing creativity and natural artistic ability insured that every boat was a one-of-a-kind custom creation. He possessed great passion for his business and genuinely considered each one of his employees and customers a member of his family. The boating industry has greatly suffered in the last few years from the down turn in the economy, however, Louie refused to give up and always gave 110% and always found a way to keep pushing forward. Louie was truly an icon and innovative genius.
To all the Kachina Boats crew and customers who have ridden the waves of time with us, it is because of you that Kachina Boats has been a part of Arizona and the Power Boating Industry since 1963. You gave Louie great love, joy and purpose and you were all a very important part of his life. Our grieving family thanks you for all that you have contributed to his life and happiness.
To Louie's closest friends, he loved you deeply and cherished his time with you. It was your love and support that allowed him to be the man that he was and achieve his dreams. As you all know, Louie never turned his back on a friend and was always willing to help a friend in need.
Sincerely,
Missie Majors & The Majors Family
